3rd Annual Lionfish Derby

September 4 @ 9:00 am - 5:00 pm EDT

Lionfish are invasive, destructive, and have no natural predators in Florida waters. The best thing a diver can do is hunt them. On September 4th, we are doing exactly that, at two locations simultaneously, with prizes for the biggest haul, the largest fish, and the smallest fish pulled from the reef.

This is a sanctioned harvest event. You do not need a lionfish permit to participate when diving as part of a licensed tournament. Show up, dive, and make a real difference on the reef.

  • Palm Beach — Riviera Beach Marina, 190 East 13th St., Riviera Beach, FL 33404

  • Jupiter — Jupiter Inlet

Both locations depart at 9:00 AM. Back to dock by 1 PM.

Prizes:

We are awarding prizes in three categories:

  • Most Lionfish

  • Largest Lionfish

  • Smallest Lionfish

Full prize list announced closer to the event.

Both locations fill up fast. Grab your spot now and show up ready to hunt.

After the final dive, both locations host an on-site after party. Weigh-ins, prize announcements, food, and drinks. Party venue location TBD.
