What an event...
Brandi and Patricia traveled to Charleston, South Carolina, for the Julionfish event.Β The South Carolina Aquarium hosted the event.Β It was a month long Lionfish Derby and then on July 29th, 2022, everyone went to the event to see who won the derby. There was a prize for the Largest, Smallest, and most Lionfish.Β There weren’t many divers, but the ones that participated kicked butt.
We had so much fun. Arnold and the staff at the aquarium were fin-tastic!Β Even Scott with, Lionfish Central appeared out of nowhere.Β That guy is everywhere!
We tasted different dishes of Lionfish, watched a demonstration on how to handle a Lionfish, gazed at the unbelievable Lionfish exhibit, listened to music, and made friends.
Brandi and Patricia went north as ZooKeeper was a sponsor for the event and wanted to represent.Β They are so thankful they got to go.Β Charleston is a boutique cute town.Β We hope we can get up as a team to dive and discuss our partnership with the aquarium in the near future.Β Watch for the announcements of the 2023 Julionfish and sign up.
