SUMMARY:3rd Annual Lionfish Derby
DESCRIPTION:Lionfish are invasive\, destructive\, and have no natural predators in Florida waters. The best thing a diver can do is hunt them. On September 4th\, we are doing exactly that\, at two locations simultaneously\, with prizes for the biggest haul\, the largest fish\, and the smallest fish pulled from the reef. \nThis is a sanctioned harvest event. You do not need a lionfish permit to participate when diving as part of a licensed tournament. Show up\, dive\, and make a real difference on the reef. \nEvent Details \nDate\nSaturday\, September 4\, 2026 \nDive Locations \n\n\nPalm Beach — Riviera Beach Marina\, 190 East 13th St.\, Riviera Beach\, FL 33404 \n\n\nJupiter — Jupiter Inlet \n\n\nBoth locations depart at 9:00 AM. Back to dock by 1 PM. \nPrizes: \nWe are awarding prizes in three categories: \n\n\nMost Lionfish \n\n\nLargest Lionfish \n\n\nSmallest Lionfish \n\n\nFull prize list announced closer to the event. \nBoth locations fill up fast.
